Glenside staff organised a “Bric A Brac” sale in The Maltings in Salisbury, raising funds of £136.33 for The Huntington’s Disease Association (HDA). The event was supported by service users and their families.
People who visited the stall generously donated to this worthy cause and several had experience of Huntington’s Disease, which is a hereditary disorder of the central nervous system.
Glenside, the South Newton based specialist provider of neurological rehabilitation works in partnership with the HDA to ensure staff are trained to provide the appropriate level of care for people with progressive neurological conditions. An individualised treatment plan is put in place, with specialist activities and equipment available, taking place within an enriching and stimulating environment.
